In February 2025, several important updates to several popular crypto projects and the launch of new parties of tokens are scheduled for the market
WalletConnect Token (WCT)
The WalletConnect Token (WCT) Community Round will be held on the CoinList platform from February 4-11, 2025. WalletConnect is the leading platform providing secure and convenient connection of cryptocurrency wallets to various applications and decentralized services in the Web3 ecosystem.
The sale will offer 20 million WCT tokens, or 2% of the total offering, at a price of $0.20 per token, which estimates the total capitalization of the project at $200 million. The total token offering amounts to 1 billion WCT tokens. The minimum purchase amount is $100 and the maximum is $10,000. The tokens can be purchased with USDC or USDT.
Purchased tokens will be fully unlocked after listing, the date of which will be determined by a community vote. As part of the token sale on CoinList, the “Filling Up From the Bottom” mechanic will be applied, which ensures fair distribution of tokens to the participants of the sale regardless of the capital size. In addition, an airdrop of 50 million WCT tokens is planned.
Movement (MOVE): Starting the main network
The Movement Labs project is actively working on integrating the MoveVM virtual machine into the Ethereum ecosystem. A test network was launched in December 2024 and the main developer network was launched on January 28, allowing select partners to begin implementing MoveVM-based decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
The public launch of the core network is scheduled for February 2025, allowing a wide audience of developers and users to access the new capabilities offered by MoveVM's integration with Ethereum.
In December 2024, Movement Labs announced the launch of its MOVE token and airdrop called MoveDrop. The campaign distributed 1 billion MOVE tokens, representing 10% of the total offering, to early adopters and community members.
